Gells Adit in the Via Gellia is a reasonably extensive lead mine exhibiting fine stone stempling
and some nicely developing natural flowstone since working ceased.
The passageway and stone roof stempling are quite typical of the lead mines in the Via Gellia area.

Typical passage in Gells Adit - walking size, with a level floor which although now covered with mud, used to sport rails to aid fetching tubs of ore and waste out of the mine. (Photo ML)
